2012 BMW 3 Series Review And Price
BMW has unveiled the new 2012 3 Series which has been redone in every sense of the word. The new approach that has been taken by the German auto-giant is aimed at providing a more comfortable and true value sedan for the BMW aficionados.
The 3 Series, which can be better termed as a sport sedan, has been reworked from both inside and outside. The new F30 can safely be said as a better follow up to its predecessor, the E90. Let’s take a detailed look into the changes that have been effected to give the new 2012 BMW 3Series its superior status.
2012 BMW 3 Series Features
Design
The new 3 Series is a sleek new BMW that wears the new style perfectly. BMW is trying to evolve its design and the new 3 Series is a perfect example. The aerodynamics of the car has been improved and it is evident from the new and better nose job that the3Series has received.

The signature grilles and headlamps have been broadened to give it a trim, racy look. The dimensions of the new 3Series have also been increased with the length growing by 3.7 inches and the height being raised by 0.4 inches. This has led to a roomier interior and a spacious trunk.
Interiors
The interior of the new 3 Series is also very sleek, if not posh. The driver’s den looks very appealing with detailed makeover. The dashboard has been reworked for the better. It has been designed ornamentally with aluminum finish that gives the dash a very next-gen feel.

You also have the option of getting a slim and wide display on the dash or for that matter, a custom tanned dashboard too. However, it’s the steering that does not fit in and though not an eyesore, is pretty odd to look at. The seats are comfortable but still the leg room could have been improved by adding another 40mm. Well, wishful thinking may be but by and large the interioris very sleek and comfortable.
Engine & Performance
The new 2012 BMW 3 Series has also got a new engine to its credit. With the new N20 2.0-liter engine aided by direct injection technology, the new 3 Series produces an impressive 240 hp at 260 lb-ft of torque. The changes also include a new eight speed automatic transmission and variable coolant that team up to give it enhanced performance and economy.

The fuel economy is about 23/34 mpg on the highways. The weight of the new 3 Series has been reduced and balanced by the extensive use of plastics and aluminum in the interior and outside. The newer and improved aerodynamics includes 0.26 Cd that is better than the 328i.

With the inclusion of the Dynamic Stability control, the car moves well on wet roads and gives that traction and stability that you need on those tight corners. The car does give the feel that it could have done with some more power but that is not a cause of worry since its smooth handling and performance makes up for that extra boost of power.
Price
The 2012 BMW 3 series has a base price of $ 34,900.
