2012 Porsche 911 Price & Review
Porsche 911 fans have something to cheer for with the launch of the latest addition of this product line – all new Porsche 911 2012. With Porsche known to be particularly careful with the modifications they apply, this one took everyone by surprise when it was first displayed last year at the Frankfurt Auto show in September.
This is the most changed model since the launch of the car product line in 1963. If you know Porsche 911 as mean and ripping, then this version is meaner, ripping beyond imagination! Let’s take a look at Porsche 911 2012 via this review.
Features Of 2012 Porsche 911
Exterior
Exterior designing of this car took nearly three and a half year of hard work for Peter Varga. I must say that he did a pretty convincing job indeed. A fan would immediately identify changes in terms of longer wheelbase, flatter look & smaller tail lamps which take the car’s design to a new level altogether.
The rear of the car is a classic 911 but has novel and fresh factor which adds to its glory. A rear spoiler (fondly called ducktail) and smaller head lamps sit perfectly making a space for the Porsche logo.
In the front, this car is 22mm wider than it predecessor. Refreshing changes have been made to the head lights, giving it a real good, sporty look. Another addition to the lighting section is the new out lights placed just above the opening optics of 911.
Interior
Interiors of this car are done by Paul Hanker. Undoubtedly, the interiors have undergone many changes. The good thing is that all that you like in the old version, stays. The most evident is materials used for doing the interiors; there is the inclusion of chrome, aluminum for the doors, precise stitching and woody look.
The PCM is larger in this version of the 911 which also boots of a 7” touch screen panel. The higher model comes along with Burmester sound system; other options are Bose and Nice.
Optionally, you can also have heated and ventilated driver’s seat. With wider wheelbase, the car has provisions for more space for seats in the rear. The look and feel of the car from inside is more sophisticated and elegant.
Engine & Performance
Let’s begin with some statistics: 3.8 litre engine powered with 400bhp. Clocks a top speed of 304 kmph, 325ft-lbs of torque, and sprints to 100 kmph in stunning 4.3 seconds for manual, 4 seconds for PDK and aggressive 3.9 for sports chrono versions of this car. 20 City / 27 Highway MPG is blended perfectly with the strategy they have with the feature called PDK. The engine is placed at the bottom, and you cannot see it from the top.
The rear section lifts up when you want to top up the fuel or water. Porsche 911 is lethal when it comes to ripping the road. The car comes with options like sport and sports plus for all the exhilarating needs that you have. Press any of those buttons and you will feel that you have arrived in a different car altogether. That is the magic of those modes. The car behaves as if it’s a hundred pounds lighter and bolts before you can even think.
It’s not only speed; stats for applying the breaks are equally impressive, halting the car from 60 – 0 mph gets accomplished in 98 ft of applying the breaks. Another option for engine sound lovers is the exhaust option that can amplify the sound to double, making you drive this car harder!

Availability and Price Of Porsche 911 2012
This monster of a car is available in default and custom options with a price tag of over $96000 as the base price and maximum limit around $172000.
Conclusion
With the notion “bigger not better” when it comes to sports car, this one is totally an exception. The car is more stable and delivers performance on a drop of a hat. Owners of this car will definitely belong to a different league of road tax payers. The sound the engine makes is music, & the control of the car is accurate, precise and smooth.
Charming features like the new head lights, rear spoiler, and opening of rear for fuelling will take the watchers by surprise. The car stands tall on the road, both, look wise and performance wise.
With modes of driving like sports and sports plus it is like having three cars packed into one! It truly is an engineering perfection that gives out so much value back to the owner. To me, it has a perfect blend of luxury and sports car. Ride it to believe it!
