Back is a very important structure of our body. It is a complex composition made up of bones, joints, muscles and nerves. Maintain correct Posture
Any workout, if done for a longer duration is very harmful to the back. One should practice sitting straight while working on the PC, laptop, watching TV, reading, writing etc. Set the object at an elevation that is horizontal to the eyes. Never sit for a long duration, rather take a small walk after every 15 minutes. Always take support when you get up or sit to avoid any jerk on your back. In case of severe pain hospitals also use infrared heat rays to relieve the pain. Just by placing the heat pad or hot water bag on the affected portion for a comfortable period relieves back pain temporarily. One more country method is to wrap some rock salt in a piece of cloth and heat it on a hotplate and then place it on the back with bearable heat and pressure.
Loss of flexibility is the main cause of back pain. And the best way to regain flexibility is exercise. Regular exercises and yoga are very helpful to prevent back pain. But in no case should one exercise under acute back pain. Mild back exercises are very helpful. Avoid any front bending exercises if you are a back pain patient. Regular back exercise under the guidance of a certified physiotherapist or a yoga teacher is very helpful.
The diet what we intake plays a very vital role in keeping us healthy. With regard to a backache patient also it is very important to have a healthy diet practice. The food we eat should be fibrous and easily digestible. Oil fried rich diets are the enemies of a back pain sufferer. Any diet prone to constipation is very bad for a back pain patient. Weight control is very essential for backache relief. Heavy and bulky physic is bad for a backache patient. And to get rid of overweight, a healthy diet is the best solution.
Healthy Life style
Maintaining a healthy life style is very helpful for the reduction of back pain. Avoid sleeping on a soft mattress and at the same time on a very hard floor. Ortho mattresses are very helpful to relieve back pain. Avoid sleeping sidewise or on your tummy. Don’t sleep immediately after dinner. When you wake up in the mornings, don’t bend forward for at least half an hour. Never apply pressure while clearing your bowel.
