Fever is a kind of bacterial, viral or parasitic infection which ranges from potential serious to not so serious. It is also known as fibrile response or pyrexia. It is caused when the temperature of the body crosses the normal range. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is an excellent home remedy for fever due to its acidic properties which helps in drawing out the heat in the body which subsequently reduces the body temperature. Apple cider vinegar is also rich in minerals which help in adding them to the body which gets lost due to diarrhea caused by typhoid. To use this, one has to add half spoon raw apple cider vinegar and honey in a glass of water and have the mix to get relief from fever.

Another effective home remedy which helps in reducing the effects of fever is garlic. It is said that having slices of garlic on empty stomach in the morning helps in minimizing the fever due to the fact that it is antibacterial in nature. Apart from improving the body immunity due to the ability of improving the activity of the white blood cells, garlic is also known to increase the intensity of flushing toxic waste from the body too.


Basil Leaves

Basil leaves, also known as tulsi is an herb which has great antibacterial and antibiotic properties which help in eliminating the bacteria from the body which causes the fever. Apart from being well-known for its various medicinal properties, basil is also good in typhoid due to the fact that it boosts the immunity of the body, has a calming effect on the stomach and helps in lowering the body temperature as well. It is advised to have basil tea by taking out the juice from six to seven basil leaves added with a pinch of ground black pepper to get relief from fever.

The antibacterial properties in bananas help in eliminating the bacteria salmonella typhi from the body and also guard the intestinal walls from the harmful effects of the bacteria. Bananas are also known to be loaded with potassium which replenishes the lost minerals in typhoid and help in curing diarrhea and the fever caused by typhoid as well. Hence the consumption of bananas throughout the day is great for the people affected from typhoid.



Clovers are another great home remedy which aids in the treatment of fever. Cloves are loaded with antibacterial agents in the essential oil present in them which helps in reducing and eliminating the bacteria which causes the fever. Apart from this, cloves also help in easing the effects of diarrhea and vomiting which are the common side effects of fever. The herbal clove treatment at home can be practiced by adding clove buds (about 6 to 7) along with water and by boiling it to half the amount. After the mixture is boiled, it is set aside to cool down and strained using a cloth. The liquid that remains after the straining is said to be great in treating fever.
