Grooming fetishes that were peculiar only to women have become the unspoken norm amongst men. The clean and fuzz-free look is becoming quite a rage amongst men. Most men prefer to go hairless and shirtless in order to please their ladylove. The hairless look has also been inspired from celebs.
The arena of body grooming includes shaving off chest hair and armpit hair in order to look more presentable to the opposite sex. The ulterior motive is to flaunt those six packs without a layer of fuzz disguising them. If you are planning on body shaving, beware, as there is a very thin line between sexy and plain silly. Here are some body hair do’s and don’ts.
Body Hair Do’s And Dont’s
The Armpit Region
Most men go in for brilliant chest shaves but forget to shave a strategic area of their bodies, the armpits. Armpit hair is normal on a man but it certainly does not have to resemble a lion’s unkempt mane. Trim it or keep it at a respectable length. A gentle stubble too is perfectly fine. Less armpit hair translates to lesser sweating and lesser odour. Do not go completely nude otherwise, you will end up looking ultra feminine and no woman likes that.
Shaving Chest Hair
Shaving chest hair is tricky. A vast majority of women do not mind some hair on their men’s chests. If you are planning to go hairless, it is a good idea to shave your chest area regularly as chest stubble can be quite poky and unappealing.
Shaving your pubic hair does not make much sense unless you are into competitive sports like biking and swimming which demand that you trim your thatch. However, for hygienic purposes, do trim the pubic hair and keep it short.
The Forgotten Territory
A forgotten territory is the shoulders and the back. It is surprising to see men who sport a luscious growth of hair on their backs and shoulders. A sane and wise man would shave these areas as well, keep them clean, and fuzz free.
Bushy eyebrows and nasal hair are a complete no-no
No woman likes to see a man with hair protruding out of his nose or ears so do yourself a huge favour by completely trimming ear and nasal hair. The same applies to bushy eyebrows. Get them trimmed ASAP.
Develop A Sense Of Humour
Grooming body hair has its shares of faux pas and many novice men are bound to err. Remember to laugh at yourself if you do goof up and look plain silly. Body hair will grow back again so any mistakes you make can be easily rectified.
Moustache Do’s And Don’t
The era of handle bar moustaches is passé. If you wish to sport a moustache, go ahead but make sure it is short, sexy and trim. We have no qualms about men with moustaches but please do not end up looking like old Uncle Sam. These body hair do’s and don’ts will always have you treading with caution when it comes to shaving.
