But there are still many good notebooks available out there that offer great specs at affordable rates whereas the ultra books burn a hole in the owner’s pocket. Lenovo B575-1450ALU is another affordable notebook by Lenovo.

But this is adequate because notebooks tend to be heavier and thicker than ultra books. There are a plethora of docks and ports available: 4 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x HDMI port, 1 x VGA port, 6 in 1 media card reader and fingerprint reader.

The Radeon HD 6320 graphics is better than the integrated graphics present on sandy bridge processors. 4 GB DDR3 RAM is enough for playing mediocre games and everyday computing. 320 GB internal hard disk provides enough room for most software and at a speed of 5400 RPM, it never gets slow but the temperature levels can rise, so one must have a laptop cooling system installed.

Not much to say, the notebook has 802.11n wireless Ethernet LAN. 0.3 MP Webcam is added as well. The lack of Bluetooth or NFC definitely is not expected.

Other Features

Accutype keyboard has got a nice feeling to them when it comes to typing and provides less typing errors and there is enough palm rest and a large touchpad with physical buttons. Windows 7 home premium is added along which isn’t a new thing. 3 year limited warranty is an attempt to increase the early sales. Stereo speakers are of a good quality although the volume starts to distort as the volume increases. The six cell regular battery performed well than expected, I worked out for four and a half hours over regular usage.

Thus, it can be concluded that the notebook packs a punch in terms of the battery life, display quality and the performance of the hard drive and RAM. But the absence of Bluetooth is just something that leaves to be desired of. Nevertheless, at a price of $330 and a limited 3 year manufacturer warranty, the laptop is among one of the best 15.6 inches notebooks available in the market so far although it lacks certain features. Even though it does not match the requirements of a hardcore gamer or an ultra book seeker, but it offers the best at the given price.
