Though the low light photographs are better than its predecessor, but it is far behind the competing products of Canon or Sony. In the previous models the photo quality was seen deteriorating from ISO 200, here at ISO 800 you will get reliable shots with reduced noise and softness.

The selling point of the camera is the video shooting capability. Sharp and smooth videos are guaranteed with excellent colour and exposure. However, the problem regarding the low light also persists while recording videos. It is solely for Web uploading and easy editing that Panasonic decided to incorporate MP4 as a recording format. Though you cannot zoom while recording, but you can definitely pick up the movement with the stereo microphone in a quiet surrounding.
