Treat Dandruff With Lemon

Treat Dandruff With Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea tree essential oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties which is the reason it is used to treat many conditions of the skin and hair. Dandruff is caused by a bacteria and using antibacterial oil on the bacteria will effectively remove them from the scalp. Take two ounces water and add three tablespoons tea tree essential oil to it.

Dip a cotton ball in the tea tree oil solution and apply the solution on the scalp using the cotton ball. Take care to cover the entire scalp for full treatment of dandruff. Leave the solution on the scalp for an hour and then wash off using lukewarm water and a very mild shampoo.

Do this treatment every alternate day if you cannot afford to wash your hair every day. After two weeks you can do the treatment thrice a week.

Treat Dandruff With Fuller’s Earth

Take two tablespoons fuller’s earth and mix it with water to form a paste. Add four drops of olive oil to the paste if you have dry hair. Apply the paste of fuller’s earth all over your scalp and hair. Pile your hair at the top of your head and cover your hair with a shower cap.

Let the fuller’s earth paste dry completely before washing it off. Drying can take up to an hour’s time so be patient. Remove this hair pack using only water. Treat Dandruff With Olive Oil

Warm three tablespoons of olive oil and massage the oil on your scalp and apply it on your hair as well. Pull your hair together in a bun. Soak a towel in hot water and squeeze the excess water from the towel. Wrap the towel around your hair and leave for 20-30 minutes. The hot steam from the damp towel will allow deeper penetration of the oil in the scalp.

Treat Dandruff With White Vinegar

Prepare a solution of white vinegar by combining one cup white vinegar with two cups water. Rinse your scalp (not hair) thoroughly with this solution every day in the morning. White vinegar is acidic in formulation and acid environment in the scalp will effectively kill the dandruff causing bacteria.

Do not use the treatment for more than two weeks time. In any case, 10 days will be enough to cure your dandruff with white vinegar solution. Allow water on your hair only when you need to rinse off shampoo.

Treat Dandruff With Castor Oil

Castor oil does not have easily spreadable consistency so you need to warm it up a bit before applying on the scalp. Castor oil is an excellent cure for dandruff though castor oil can be hard to get rid off from the hair. Apply castor oil only on the scalp and leave for 20 minutes. Use a shampoo to remove the oil from the hair. You might need to shampoo the hair twice to completely get rid of the oil.
